We spent a full day at Marshlands School, a special school in Stafford for children with SEND, making photography and short video for the school's website. Two sites, the main school and Marshlands Meadow, shot as the day actually happened rather than staged.

We worked to the school's own timetable and moved through the day with it, the sensory garden and sensory circuit, the playgrounds and climbing frames, the running track, a learning activity and a communication session. Photos and short clips side by side, staying out of the way so the children could just get on with their day.

In a school like this the care around it matters as much as the pictures. We worked strictly to the school's pupil list, kept any child who was not cleared out of shot, and were happy to be supervised throughout. Everything published carries the school's full sign-off.

From the day the school received a set of edited images and a library of short clips through a private gallery. We return in September once the new sensory rooms and OT space are in, building toward a stronger highlight film that feels like the school across the year rather than one single day.
